Premises Negligence Catastrophic Injury Final Summary Judgment Granted

Orange County, Florida – Calvin Gittens and Michael W LeRoy obtained Final Summary Judgment on behalf of our client, a large national movie theater chain, relative to allegations by a plaintiff that she suffered permanent and debilitating neurologic and orthopedic injures as a result of the alleged negligent maintenance and alleged negligent failure to adhere to necessary safety protocol by our client.  Represented by an extremely high-profile plaintiffs’ law firm, the plaintiff was seeking damages in excess of $1 million and was insistent that the case proceed to a trial by jury.  The court granted our Motion for Final Summary Judgment approximately three weeks prior to the date-certain trial date.
