Carla Howard-Torres is an Associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on September 19, 1976. She began her legal career in Lexington, Kentucky as a paralegal following graduation at the University of Kentucky after receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1998. In 2001, Mrs. Howard-Torres attended Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and received her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2003. Following graduation, she moved to Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar.
Mrs. Howard-Torres' primary areas of practice include Construction Litigation, General Liability, Negligent Security, Insurance Defense Litigation, Insurance Coverage Litigation, Personal Injury/Wrongful Death Litigation, Premises Liability, and Transportation Litigation.
Mrs. Howard-Torres is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, Young Lawyer's Division, Dade County Bar Association and Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction. Mrs. Howard-Torres is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
